Cheryl Heggie

At the age of 4, Cheryl discovered her passion for Highland Dance, a journey that has continued throughout her life.  Her dedication and talent led to numerous awards through exams and competitions, culminating in her qualification as a United Kingdom Alliance Professional Teacher of Dance in 1996.

Cheryl furthered her academic pursuits by obtaining a degree in Business Administration from university.  Despite working full time in various children and youth orientated organisations, Cheryl's enthusiasm for dance and teaching remained unwavering.  In February 2002, she established her first dance school in Culloden.

In February 2009, Cheryl began offering bilingual classes at Bun-Sgoil Ghàidhlig Inbhir Nis, furthering her mission to promote Highland dance.  By 2015, Cheryl expanded her offerings by becoming a Highland Hustle instructor, providing Scottish themed exercise classes that blend highland, ceilidh, and aerobics into a dynamic workout. ​She also introduced Highland Hustle Tots, a music and movement classes for pre-school children and their parent/carers. 

Cheryl is Disclosure checked and continually updates and expands her personal, professional and teaching qualifications. Today she resides in Inverness with her husband and children.
